To connect NetSuite and ShipStation, you have three options. The main NetSuite ShipStation integration is ShipStation's own NetSuite connection: it brings approved sales orders into ShipStation and sends tracking numbers back to NetSuite. Oracle's NetSuite Connector can also link the two, and Celigo sells ready-made connections. Where it stops: orders with no Ship-To address or still in Pending Approval don't come across, ShipStation decides when orders move, and through NetSuite Connector the package weight doesn't come back. Nothing tells you which order has sat too long. AI agents check that each day and tell your ops lead what needs a person.
Why a ShipStation NetSuite integration matters
Your orders live in NetSuite. Your team ships them from ShipStation, where it compares carrier rates and prints labels. With no link between them, someone copies each order into ShipStation, then types the tracking number back into NetSuite so sales and support can see it. Each copy is a chance for a wrong address or a missed order.
So a good connection does two things. It sends each order that is ready to ship into ShipStation, with the details your team works from. And it sends the tracking back to NetSuite, so everyone sees the same order, and an order that didn't ship shows up the same day.
Three ways to connect NetSuite and ShipStation
One is built into ShipStation. One is Oracle's own connector. One is a ready-made connection you buy.
ShipStation's NetSuite connection
- How it works
- ShipStation built this connection. It brings NetSuite sales orders into ShipStation, then sends tracking back once you ship. You set it to one of four ways of working: Sales Order, two that start from item fulfillments once they reach a set stage, like Packed, or Transfer Orders for moving stock between warehouses. You can add one filter, by location, class or department, and copy up to three extra NetSuite fields.
- Good for
- Most NetSuite companies that ship parcels from ShipStation and want orders in and tracking back with no typing.
- Where it breaks
- ShipStation says orders need a Ship-To address to come across, and orders in Pending Approval don't. Only one filter and three extra fields are allowed. Nobody is told when an order is left behind.
Oracle's NetSuite Connector
- How it works
- NetSuite Connector links to ShipStation through a custom store. ShipStation pulls orders from the connector, and after you ship, sends the shipment back. The connector then makes an item fulfillment on the sales order in NetSuite.
- Good for
- Companies that already use NetSuite Connector for their online store and want shipping in the same place.
- Where it breaks
- Oracle's FAQ says ShipStation, not the connector, decides when orders move. Weight doesn't come back, so item fulfillments show 1 pound unless NetSuite changes it, and orders loaded into ShipStation by CSV can't sync back.
Celigo
- How it works
- Celigo sells ready-made connections between ShipStation and systems like NetSuite. Its ShipStation page says they keep orders, fulfillments and products the same between the two.
- Good for
- Teams that already use Celigo for other NetSuite connections.
- Where it breaks
- It is another system to set up and look after. When something doesn't line up, someone still has to find it and fix it.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents read each day's sales orders in NetSuite and shipments in ShipStation, find orders that are paid but not shipped, orders that never came across, and tracking that never made it back, then tell your ops lead and the customer, with the order it came from.
- Good for
- Companies where late orders cost them customers, and nobody has the hours to check.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a large wholesale order or an address it can't confirm, goes to your ops lead in one message.
How to connect NetSuite to ShipStation
ShipStation's NetSuite guide and Oracle's pages have the full screens. These are the parts, in order.
- 1
Get NetSuite readyHave a NetSuite admin turn on SuiteCloud Client and Server SuiteScript. The role ShipStation will use must be allowed to use OAuth 2.0 access tokens.
- 2
Add NetSuite in ShipStationOpen Settings, then Selling Channels, and select NetSuite. Set the way you work, most often Sales Order, then add a filter and up to three extra fields if you need them.
- 3
Ship one test orderShip one order and check that the tracking number shows on the order in NetSuite. On NetSuite Connector, follow Oracle's test order steps instead.
- 4
Check for orders left behind
Each week, look for NetSuite orders that are approved but never shipped, and for shipped orders with no fulfillment in NetSuite.
Where the NetSuite ShipStation integration stops
The connection moves orders and tracking well once it is set up. What it leaves behind are the orders that fall between the two, and ShipStation's and Oracle's own pages say where.
Orders that don't qualify just don't show up. ShipStation says an order with no Ship-To address, or one still in Pending Approval, doesn't come across, and your one filter can leave others out. Nothing flags them. They sit in NetSuite until a customer asks.
ShipStation sets the timing. Oracle says NetSuite Connector doesn't control when ShipStation pulls orders: most go within 10 minutes, but it varies. Tracking only comes back when ShipStation tells NetSuite Connector about the shipment, and if that notice never goes, Oracle says to check and resend it.
Some details never come back through NetSuite Connector. Oracle's FAQ says weight doesn't sync from ShipStation, so the item fulfillment shows 1 pound unless NetSuite changes it. The Hold Until field can't sync either. Orders loaded into ShipStation from a CSV file, or from your other stores, can't sync back to NetSuite at all.
Old orders come back. If a NetSuite workflow saves old orders without changing them, Oracle says those orders get pulled back into the connector, and ShipStation slows as the pile grows. Reviews of ShipStation in general on Trustpilot, not only its NetSuite link, raise connection drops and problems left open with support.
So someone still checks NetSuite for approved orders that never shipped, fixes weights and tracking by hand, and answers the customer asking where their order is.
The agents that do it
Each agent does one job from start to finish in your own NetSuite and ShipStation, and tells your team what needs a person.

Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own NetSuite and ShipStation and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does ShipStation integrate with NetSuite?
Yes. ShipStation has its own NetSuite connection that brings in sales orders and sends tracking back. Oracle's NetSuite Connector and Celigo can also link them.
What syncs back to NetSuite after an order ships?
ShipStation says it sends the tracking number back to the order in NetSuite. Through NetSuite Connector, the shipment becomes an item fulfillment, but weight doesn't come back.
Why didn't an order come into ShipStation?
ShipStation says an order needs a Ship-To address, and orders in Pending Approval don't come across. Your filter, if you set one, can also leave orders out.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
