Shopify orders in NetSuite, stock checked each day

NetSuiteShopify
The short answer

To connect Shopify and NetSuite, you have three options. The main Shopify to NetSuite integration is Oracle's own NetSuite ERP Connector, from the Shopify App Store, which moves orders, products, prices, stock and fulfillments between the two. Celigo sells a ready-made Shopify NetSuite integration, and Zapier has zaps for single jobs. Where it stops: each connector handles one store, wholesale prices come in as discounts, things you delete don't carry over, and a failed order waits in an error list until someone reads it. AI agents check both sides each day and tell your team what needs a person.

Why a Shopify integration with NetSuite matters

Customers order on Shopify. Your stock, buying and books live in NetSuite. With no link, someone types each order into NetSuite, updates stock on the website by hand, and copies tracking back to the customer. As orders grow, so do the typing and the mistakes.

So a good connection does two things. It moves each order, refund and fulfillment to the right place and keeps products, prices and stock the same on both sides. And it checks that the two still agree, so a missing order is found the same day, not by a customer.

Three ways to connect NetSuite and Shopify

One is Oracle's own app. One is a ready-made connection from Celigo. One is a zap you build.

NetSuite ERP Connector

How it works
Oracle NetSuite's app in the Shopify App Store. It moves products, prices, stock, sales orders and fulfillments between NetSuite and your store. Plans cover B2C, Shopify POS and B2B stores, and some include a real-time option for orders, prices and stock.
Good for
Most NetSuite companies selling on Shopify that want orders in and stock out without typing.
Where it breaks
Each connector links one store, wholesale prices come in as discounts, and deletes don't carry over (more below). Several reviews in the Shopify App Store say it took an outside consultant to set it up.

Celigo

How it works
Celigo sells a Shopify NetSuite integration template. Its flows send Shopify orders, refunds, cancellations and customers to NetSuite, and send NetSuite items, shipments and refunds back to Shopify.
Good for
Teams that want each flow spelled out and may already use Celigo for other NetSuite connections.
Where it breaks
Each flow is its own piece to set up and watch. Refunds have a flow in each direction, so decide which program refunds start in, or the same refund can be entered twice.

A Zapier zap

How it works
NetSuite is a Premium app on Zapier. Its ready-made zaps add new Shopify customers, draft orders and abandoned carts to NetSuite, and create Shopify orders from new NetSuite records.
Good for
One simple job, like new Shopify customers showing up in NetSuite.
Where it breaks
Each zap is one trigger and one action. Orders, refunds, stock and fulfillments are each more zaps to build and check.

Arkeo agents

How it works
Agents compare NetSuite, your Shopify store and the warehouse each day, find orders that didn't come across and counts that don't match, and tell your ops lead the cause and the fix. They also enter wholesale orders from email into NetSuite.
Good for
Brands on Shopify and NetSuite where nobody has the hours to check.
Where it breaks
Anything your rules keep for a person, like a large refund or a count it can't explain, goes to your team in one message.

How to set up the Shopify NetSuite Connector

Oracle's setup guide has the full screens. These are the parts, in order.

  1. 1

    Install the app

In the Shopify App Store, open NetSuite ERP Connector by Oracle NetSuite, look over the B2C, POS and B2B plans, and click Install.

The app in the Shopify App Store →

  2. 2

Check the list and make an account

Work through Oracle's prerequisites, then create your NetSuite Connector account.

  3. 3

Set up the logins both ways

Set up token-based logins from NetSuite to the connector and back. This is what lets the two talk.

  4. 4

Match tax, shipping and payment methods

Set up taxes, and make shipping and payment methods in NetSuite that match your store. Then turn on order and product syncs, once you know which side is in charge of prices and stock.

  5. 5

Run one test order, then watch the errors

Place a test order on Shopify and check the items, tax, shipping and payment in NetSuite. Then read the connector's sync errors each week.

Where the Shopify NetSuite integration stops

The connector moves orders and stock well once it is set up. The work left over sits between the two programs, and Oracle's own help pages spell out most of it.

One connector, one store. Oracle's FAQ says each connector links only one Shopify store, even on Shopify Plus. A second store, or a wholesale store, means two connectors and two error lists.

Wholesale prices don't come in as wholesale prices. The FAQ says the order shows the regular price with a discount, because that is how Shopify sends it. Finance has to read each wholesale order with that in mind.

Deletes don't carry over. Clearing a field in NetSuite doesn't clear it in Shopify, and a variant you remove in NetSuite stays in Shopify. Oracle says to delete those by hand.

Small setup gaps become wrong orders. Oracle's order sync page says NetSuite won't take the shipping cost on an order without a shipping method, and an order with no payment method is always invoiced, not a cash sale. A product with more than 100 variants, or a store location someone turned off, stops that item from syncing until a person fixes it.

Several reviews of the app in the Shopify App Store say it in their own words: it took an outside consultant to set up, the field settings are hard, and some changes only NetSuite support can make. So most weeks, someone reads the error list, retypes the orders that failed, and checks stock by hand on the best sellers.

The agents that do it

Each agent does one job from start to finish in your own NetSuite and Shopify, and tells your team what needs a person.

What are the benefits of a Shopify NetSuite integration?

No more typing orders into NetSuite, stock that matches on your website, and tracking that reaches the customer. The time saved grows with each order.

What does it cost?
