In Mailchimp, click your profile icon, then Profile. Open Extras, then API keys, and click Create A Key. Name it and copy it. It shows once.

A user with Manager permissions or higher.

Any Mailchimp account can make a key. What agents can do depends on your plan. New keys stop working after one year.
