The main HubSpot and Pipedrive integration is Data Sync by HubSpot, a free app built by HubSpot that keeps people, companies, deals and products the same in both. Zapier handles single jobs, and Pipedrive's import moves everything over once. Where it stops: custom fields and activities need a paid Data Hub plan, Pipedrive's Leads Inbox isn't in the default mappings, and your filters only decide which records sync the first time. None of them decide which leads sales should work. AI agents do that work and keep both sides right.
Why a HubSpot and Pipedrive integration matters
A common setup: marketing runs forms, emails and lead scores in HubSpot, and sales works deals in Pipedrive. When the two don't talk, someone copies each new lead across by hand, and nobody can say which campaign brought in the deals that closed.
So a good connection does two things. It puts each lead that's ready for sales into Pipedrive, with its history. And it sends back what happened, so HubSpot shows which leads became deals and which were won.
Three ways to connect HubSpot and Pipedrive
One is HubSpot's own app. One is a zap. One is a move, for teams leaving one of the two.
Data Sync by HubSpot
- How it works
- HubSpot builds this app, and it's listed in both marketplaces. It syncs Pipedrive people with HubSpot contacts, organizations with companies, and deals and products both ways. Existing records go first, then changes sync within 10 minutes.
- Good for
- Teams that want the same people and deals in both programs, one way or both ways, without typing.
- Where it breaks
- Custom field mappings and activities, like calls and meetings, need Data Hub Starter or above. Pipedrive's Leads Inbox isn't in its default mappings, and your filters only decide what syncs the first time. More than half of its HubSpot Marketplace reviews are one or two stars.
A Zapier zap
- How it works
- Zapier's templates for the two make Pipedrive leads from new HubSpot form fills, make Pipedrive deals from new contacts in a HubSpot list, or update a HubSpot contact when a deal is added to a stage in Pipedrive.
- Good for
- One simple hand-off, like each HubSpot form fill showing up as a lead in Pipedrive.
- Where it breaks
- Each zap is one trigger and one action, in one direction. Duplicates, updates and two-way changes are each more zaps to build and check.
A one-time move with Pipedrive's import
- How it works
- Export each kind of record from HubSpot as a file, then bring them in under Tools and apps, then Import data, in the order Pipedrive's guide gives.
- Good for
- Teams leaving HubSpot for Pipedrive.
- Where it breaks
- It's a copy, not a connection. Anything that changes in HubSpot after the import stays in HubSpot.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents read each new lead and its history in HubSpot, check whether the person is already in Pipedrive, add the person and the deal, and log the first call or email. When the deal moves or closes in Pipedrive, they update the stage and add a note on the record in HubSpot.
- Good for
- Teams where marketing and sales each need the same answer, and nobody has the hours to keep both right.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a lead that matches two people or a large deal, goes to your team in one message.
Set up Data Sync by HubSpot: five steps
The vendors' own pages have the full screens, linked under each step.
- 1
Check who can install itYou must be a Super Admin in HubSpot, or have App Marketplace permissions. On the Pipedrive side, the app needs an Essential, Advanced, Professional or Enterprise plan.
- 2
Clean up firstPipedrive's guide says to remove duplicates before you start, and to test with 5 to 10 records.
- 3
Connect the appOpen the Pipedrive listing in the HubSpot Marketplace, click to install, and sign in to Pipedrive when it asks.
- 4
Set what syncs and which way
Turn on each kind of record, set one way or both ways, and which app wins when the two disagree. Deal stages must map to Pipedrive pipeline stages.
- 5
Start the sync, then check a few
Start syncing; existing records go first. Then open 5 or 10 records on each side and check them line by line.
Where the HubSpot Pipedrive integration stops
The free app leaves things out. HubSpot's listing says custom field mappings and activity sync, like calls and meetings, need Data Hub Starter or above. Pipedrive's Leads Inbox, where leads wait before they become deals, isn't in the default mappings. So a HubSpot lead lands in Pipedrive as a person, and someone still has to make it a lead or a deal.
Some rules surprise people. HubSpot's data sync guide says your filters only decide which records sync the first time; after that, those records keep syncing back and forth. When two records share the same email, the first one syncs and the next is treated as a duplicate. And if your sales process doesn't use deal stages, HubSpot says you can't sync deals with data sync at all.
Its ratings are low. On the HubSpot Marketplace the app averages 2.7 out of 5 from 28 reviews, and 16 of them are one or two stars. On Pipedrive's own marketplace, about a third of ratings are one or two stars. Someone in sales ops ends up checking both sides by hand, every week.
The agents that do it
Each agent does one job from start to finish,: the hand-off and checking the app leaves behind. Your team talks to them in Slack or Teams.

Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own HubSpot and Pipedrive and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does HubSpot integrate with Pipedrive?
Yes. HubSpot builds an app called Data Sync that connects the two. It syncs people, companies, deals and products, one way or both ways, and you install it from the HubSpot Marketplace.
Do I need a paid HubSpot plan for the Pipedrive integration?
The basic sync uses the default field mappings. HubSpot's listing says custom field mappings and syncing activities need Data Hub Starter or above. Pipedrive needs an Essential plan or higher.
Should we use both, or move to one?
Many teams keep marketing in HubSpot and sales in Pipedrive, and that works when the hand-off is kept right. If you're moving to Pipedrive for good, its import guide walks you through it.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
