The main HubSpot and Notion integration is HubSpot's own Notion app, which uses HubSpot's data sync. It keeps rows in a Notion database matched with HubSpot contacts, companies, deals or tickets, one way or both ways, and checks for changes every 5 minutes. HubSpot's listing says turning it on needs Data Hub Starter. Other apps in the HubSpot Marketplace show Notion pages on HubSpot records, and Zapier can make a Notion page for each new deal. Where it stops: it syncs database fields, not the notes on a Notion page, contacts with no email are skipped, and nothing writes what was agreed onto the deal. AI agents do that part.
What a HubSpot and Notion integration has to do
Your deals and contacts live in HubSpot. The client's page, the meeting notes, the onboarding checklist and the project tracker often live in Notion, because that's where the team writes.
So the same client exists twice, and people copy between them. Connected has to mean the client's page in Notion shows the right deal and owner, the deal in HubSpot shows what was agreed on the last call, and when a deal is won, the team's page is ready without anyone building it.
Ways to connect HubSpot and Notion
HubSpot builds the first one. The others come from other makers.
HubSpot's Notion data sync
- How it works
- HubSpot's own app in the HubSpot Marketplace. You connect Notion, then match a Notion database to a HubSpot object like contacts, companies, deals or tickets, set the direction and map the fields. HubSpot checks for changes every 5 minutes.
- Good for
- Teams that keep a client or deal list as a Notion database and want it to match HubSpot.
- Where it breaks
- The listing says turning on a Notion sync needs Data Hub Starter, and HubSpot's guide says custom field mappings need Data Hub. It has a 3.7 rating from 3 ratings, and one of the reviews says setup was hard and the sync carried plain text only.
Other HubSpot Marketplace apps
- How it works
- Other makers list Notion apps in the HubSpot Marketplace. NoteLinker's Notion Sync shows matching Notion rows on HubSpot contacts and deals. StartLink's Sync for Notion lets workflows make Notion pages from deals.
- Good for
- Teams that want to see the client's Notion notes while they work a deal in HubSpot.
- Where it breaks
- NoteLinker matches only on email or deal name, and you refresh the card to see changes. StartLink's app is in Japanese only and its free plan caps page creation at 50. Both have one review or none.
A Zapier zap
- How it works
- Zapier's HubSpot triggers, like New Deal or Updated Deal Stage, can create a Notion page or a database item. Notion triggers like Updated Properties in Data Source Item can update a HubSpot contact or deal.
- Good for
- Making the client's Notion page from your template the moment a deal is won.
- Where it breaks
- Each direction is a separate zap. Finding the right page or record to update is a step you build, and a zap that fails doesn't tell anyone.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents read each client call and the client's Notion page, write the summary and next steps onto the HubSpot deal, and set up the client's Notion page from your template when the deal is won. Each morning they check the two still agree.
- Good for
- Teams that sell in HubSpot and work in Notion, and lose the notes in between.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a deal stage change on a large account, goes to the owner in one message.
How to set up the HubSpot Notion integration
These follow HubSpot's own data sync guide. Open it for the screens.
- 1
Check your plan and accessYou need Super Admin or App Marketplace permissions in HubSpot. HubSpot's Notion listing says activating the sync needs Data Hub Starter, and custom field mappings need Data Hub.
- 2
Connect NotionInstall the Notion app from the HubSpot Marketplace and sign in to Notion. Then go to Integrations, Connected Apps, open Notion and select Set up your sync.
- 3
Match a Notion database to a HubSpot objectSelect the Notion database. HubSpot suggests a HubSpot object, like contacts or deals, which you can change. Then set the sync to two-way or one way.
- 4
Map fields and set who winsReview the field mappings or click Generate mappings. Under Data conflict resolution, set which app wins when the two disagree. Decide whether contacts with no email should sync.
- 5
Check the Failing and Excluded columnsAfter the first sync, open CRM syncs and look at the Failing and Excluded columns. Records with errors or no match key land there and don't sync until someone fixes them.
Where the HubSpot Notion integration stops
The sync keeps two lists matched. Turning a client's notes into the next step on the deal is still a person's job.
It matches fields, not notes. Data sync works on Notion database rows and their properties. What the team wrote on the client's page, the call notes and the open questions, doesn't become a note or a task on the HubSpot deal. Someone reads the page and types it in. The same goes for call bookings when teams connect Calendly to Notion.
Some records never cross. HubSpot's guide says contacts without an email don't sync by default, and when two records share the same email, only the first one syncs and the rest are set aside as duplicates. They sit in the Excluded column until someone checks.
It isn't instant, and big lists are slow. HubSpot checks for changes every 5 minutes, records sync within 10 minutes of a change, and its guide says the first sync of a large database can take days.
And many teams are still building their own. A long HubSpot community thread on how people use Notion and HubSpot together runs from 2024 into 2026, with people asking for a native link and trading third-party apps and zaps. The same split shows up when teams connect Slack to Notion: each tool connects, and the notes stay behind.

Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own HubSpot and Notion and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does HubSpot integrate with Notion?
Yes. HubSpot builds a Notion app that uses its data sync to keep a Notion database matched with HubSpot contacts, companies, deals, tickets and more. HubSpot's listing says activating it needs Data Hub Starter. Other makers also list Notion apps in the HubSpot Marketplace.
Can Notion pull in HubSpot data?
Notion's October 2026 release notes say Notion Agent and Custom Agents can connect to HubSpot to draw on pipeline data, like building an account brief. For a database that stays matched, teams use HubSpot's data sync or a zap.
Why are some contacts missing from the sync?
HubSpot's guide says contacts without an email don't sync unless you clear that setting, and records that share an email are treated as duplicates after the first one. Check the Excluded column under CRM syncs. Keeping the CRM itself right is a job agents do as calls and emails happen.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
