Claude for business means Anthropic's Team and Enterprise plans: Claude for each person on your team, connected to apps like Gmail, Slack and HubSpot, with shared projects and Claude Cowork for handing off tasks and running them on a schedule. Where it stops: each task belongs to the person who set it up, changes Claude makes in your connected apps need approval on each task by default, and usage limits apply. Arkeo agents work another way: each one owns a whole job in your software, like keeping your CRM right, and we set it up and look after it.
Claude for business: what you get
Anthropic's Team plan is for teams of 2 to 150 people, and its Enterprise plan is for large businesses. Each person gets Claude on the web, on the desktop and on their phone, with memory, projects, skills, and connectors to the programs you already use. Anthropic's list of connectors includes Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, HubSpot, Notion and Microsoft 365.
The business plans add the controls an owner looks for: single sign-on, one bill for the whole team, admin control over which connectors people can use, and no training of Anthropic's models on your content by default.
Claude Cowork is how a person hands off a task. Anthropic says you give it a goal, it works across your files and tools, and you come back to finished work to review. You can schedule a task to repeat, and on Team plans it can run in Anthropic's cloud while your laptop is closed. Anthropic is now folding Cowork into Claude itself, starting with its Pro and Max plans. Team plans keep Chat and Cowork as they are for now.

Using Claude task by task: what it's good at, and where the hours go
Claude is strong at the work a person sits down to do: a draft, a summary, a report, a first read of a contract. Cowork goes further, with tasks it does on its own and work waiting for you when you come back. Anthropic's own examples include a weekly marketing report built each Monday and a first-pass review of a folder of contracts.
The hours go to what sits around each task. Someone has to write the ask well, check the result, fix what is off, and keep the ask current as the business changes. That works well for one-off work and for a person's own reports. For jobs that come back every day or week and touch several programs, like keeping your CRM right or following up with leads, a business needs something that owns the job, not someone who has to ask for it.
How to set up Claude for your team
The main steps, in short. Each one links to Anthropic's own page.
- 1
Start a Team plan
Create a Team plan for 2 to 150 people and invite your team. Larger businesses can talk to Anthropic about Enterprise.
- 2
Turn on the connectors
As the owner, decide which connectors your team can use, like Gmail, Google Drive, Slack or HubSpot.
- 3
Set up Cowork for the team
Cowork is on by default. Decide whether it can run in the cloud, open websites on its own, and change things in connected apps without asking each time.
- 4
Schedule what repeats
Describe a task once, set it to run hourly, daily, weekly or on weekdays, then review what comes back.
Where Claude for business stops: what your team still does by hand
Anthropic's own help pages show where the work stays with your team. On Team and Enterprise plans, the setting that lets Cowork make changes in connected apps without asking, like sending or editing, is off by default. Until an owner turns it on, members approve those changes task by task.
Anthropic also says the risk of prompt injection in Cowork is "non-zero": a web page or a file can carry hidden instructions. Its advice is to keep sensitive files out of reach and to watch Claude for suspicious actions. That watching is a person's job.
Then there are the limits on use. Anthropic's pricing page says usage limits apply on each plan. On Anthropic's public issue tracker, a long thread gathered reports from many paying users who used up their weekly limit in one or two days and had to wait for it to reset. In March 2026, Anthropic confirmed it had tightened the five-hour limits during busy weekday hours for its Free, Pro and Max plans.
And each task belongs to one person. In the cloud, projects are saved with that member's Claude account. When the person who built the Monday report is out or leaves, someone else has to find it, learn it and keep it going.
Ways to get AI working in your business
Most owners end up with one of these, or more than one side by side.
Claude for each person
- How it works
- Each person on your team uses Claude for their own work: drafts, research, summaries and reports, with connectors to your apps.
- Good for
- Teams who want each person to do their own work faster.
- Where it breaks
- The work only happens when someone asks. Each person checks their own results and, by default, approves changes Claude makes in your apps.
Claude Cowork with scheduled tasks
- How it works
- A person hands Claude a goal and sets it to repeat, then reviews the work when it is done.
- Good for
- Reports and reviews one person owns, like a Monday readout.
- Where it breaks
- The task lives with the person who set it up and runs within the plan's usage limits. When the job or the people change, someone has to find it and update it.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Each agent owns one whole job in the software you already use, like your CRM, your inbox or your weekly numbers. We set it up with you, and it reports to your team in Slack or Teams.
- Good for
- Owners of 10 to 50 person businesses who want jobs done end to end, not more asks to write.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a large discount or an unhappy customer, goes to your team in one message.
Jobs to hand to agents
Agents fit the work that comes back every day or week and crosses more than one program. Keeping your CRM right after each call and email. Keeping the owner's inbox and calendar in order. Pulling the week's numbers into one scorecard each Monday.
Each agent reads what is in front of it, follows your rules, checks its own work, and tells a person when the job needs one. Your team keeps using its AI assistant for its own work, and the jobs that come back each week get an owner.
Agents that own whole jobs
Each of these owns one job from start to finish, and your team talks to it in Slack or Teams.
Your inbox, calendar and documents, kept up for you.
- Reads and answers your emailall day
- Books and moves your meetingsas they come
- Writes your docs and deckson request
