How it connects
You make the key in your own Paddle account. Nothing to install on your computers, and nothing to wait for.
Where
In Paddle, under Settings, then Authentication, then API keys. Add a new key, set what it can read and change, set when it expires, and copy it.
Who can do it
An Admin or Technical user on your Paddle team.
Plan
Any Paddle Billing account. Keys made after May 2025 let you set exactly what they can do.
Agents can see
- Customers and subscriptions
- Transactions, refunds and credits
- Products, prices and discounts
- Subscription numbers, like monthly revenue
Agents can change
- Subscriptions: pause, resume or cancel, as your process allows
- Links for customers to update their card
- Customer details

Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Each agent sees only what its job needs. Customer and billing details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Do I need a certain Paddle plan?
No. Any Paddle Billing account can make an API key.
Will the agents change my billing?
Only what your process allows, like sending a card update link or pausing a plan. You can give the key read-only permissions instead.
Does the key expire?
Yes. You set the date when you make it, up to one year out. We tell you before it runs out.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. Revoke the key in Paddle and the agents lose access right away.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
