The Klaviyo Square integration is Klaviyo's own Square app. In Klaviyo, go to Integrations, click Explore apps, find Square, click Install, then Connect to Square and sign in. Klaviyo then pulls in customers, your catalog and orders from Square Online and Square POS, so you can send emails based on what people bought. Where it stops: only one Square account per Klaviyo account, in-store sales only come across when the customer gave an email or phone number, POS orders arrive every 30 minutes, and email or text sign-up consent doesn't come across. Nobody notices when the sync goes quiet. AI agents do that work.
What a Klaviyo Square integration has to do
Square takes your payments, at the counter and on your Square Online store. Klaviyo sends your emails and texts. When the two are connected, a thank-you goes out after a first visit, a reminder goes out when someone leaves a cart, and a note goes out when a regular hasn't been back in a while.
So connected has to mean each sale in Square lands on the right person in Klaviyo, in-store and online, with what they bought. Then your emails go to the right people at the right time. Klaviyo's Square app does most of this. The gaps are in-store customers with no email on file, and a sync that can stop without anyone noticing.
Two ways to connect Klaviyo with Square
Most stores need the first one. Zapier fills gaps the app doesn't cover, like appointments.
Klaviyo's Square integration
- How it works
- You install Square from Integrations in Klaviyo and sign in to Square. Klaviyo brings in customers, email unsubscribes and your Square catalog, including items you only sell in store. It also brings in order events like Placed Order, Refunded Order and Abandoned Checkout. A Source Name on each order shows whether it came from Square Online or POS.
- Good for
- Shops, cafes and studios on Square that want Klaviyo's ready-made flows for first purchases, cart reminders and win-backs.
- Where it breaks
- Klaviyo's guide allows one Square account per Klaviyo account. POS orders only create a profile if the customer gave an email or phone number. POS sales arrive every 30 minutes, not right away. Opt-in consent doesn't sync, so you collect sign-ups with Klaviyo forms.
A Zapier zap
- How it works
- Zapier can start from a new Square customer, order or appointment and create or update a profile in Klaviyo, or add a Klaviyo event. Its templates include adding new Square customers to Klaviyo and creating Klaviyo events for new Square appointments.
- Good for
- A salon or studio that books in Square Appointments and wants each booking to start a Klaviyo email. Klaviyo's Square data list doesn't include appointments.
- Where it breaks
- Zapier's page says these Square steps check for new data every 15 minutes on its Free plan. It copies only what you set up, and if a step fails, the person never gets the email and nobody is told.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents check every day that Square sales are still reaching Klaviyo and that each flow is still sending. They find customers who haven't been back in Square and send them a note, and report every week what each email earned.
- Good for
- Shops that sell in person and online, where a quiet sync or a broken flow means weeks of missed emails.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a big discount, goes to the owner in one message.
How to connect Square to Klaviyo
These follow Klaviyo's own Square guide. Open it for the screens.

Where the Klaviyo Square integration stops
The app brings Square sales into Klaviyo. Checking that they keep coming, and filling the gaps it leaves, is still a person's job.
In-store customers often don't come across. Klaviyo's guide says a POS order only creates a profile if the customer gave you an email address or phone number. A walk-in who pays and leaves no email or phone number gets no thank-you and no win-back email.
Consent stays behind. Klaviyo's data reference says the sync brings over who unsubscribed, but not who opted in. New profiles without email consent are marked Never Subscribed, and text consent from Square Online can't sync at all. So a customer who signed up in Square shows in Klaviyo as Never Subscribed until they sign up again on a Klaviyo form.
A sync can stop and still say Enabled. In a September 2026 Klaviyo Community thread, a store said its Square integration showed Enabled, but the last order on the Data tab was five months old. They had kept taking Square POS payments at events all summer. Square showed 761 customers and Klaviyo showed 115 profiles. Klaviyo's team moved it to a support ticket.
And nothing tells you which flows went quiet because of it. The win-back flow just goes quiet, and nobody looks until sales drop.

Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own Klaviyo and Square and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does Klaviyo integrate with Square?
Yes. Klaviyo has its own Square app. It brings in customers, your catalog and orders from Square Online and Square POS, and you set it up from Integrations in Klaviyo.
Do Square POS sales sync to Klaviyo?
Yes, every 30 minutes, if the customer gave your business an email address or phone number. Klaviyo's guide says POS orders without one don't create a profile.
Why are my Square customers missing in Klaviyo?
Check that each customer has an email or phone number in Square, and open the Data tab under Integrations, then Square, to see when the last order came in. If the import has problems, Klaviyo's guide says to use Restart import or Re-import.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
