The HubSpot and ClickUp integration is built by ClickUp. A Workspace owner or admin turns it on from the ClickUp App Center. Then a HubSpot workflow can make a ClickUp task, List or Space when a deal changes, and a ClickUp Automation can make or update a HubSpot deal, contact or ticket when a task changes. Zapier is the other common way. Where it stops: HubSpot workflows can't fill ClickUp Custom Fields, tasks are made but not kept up to date from HubSpot unless you build each update, and nothing checks that the work promised on the deal got done. AI agents do that part.
What a HubSpot and ClickUp integration has to do
At consulting firms and agencies, the hand off from sales to the team that does the work is where a new client's first week goes wrong.
Sales closes the deal in HubSpot. Then someone reads the deal and makes the project by hand.
The team plans the work in ClickUp, so someone copies the scope, the dates and the client's contact details into it, and tells the team it's coming. So connected has to mean more than a task with the deal name on it.
The project should start with the right details, the deal should show where the work stands, and when the two drift apart, someone should hear about it before the client does. It's the same hand off teams run between Monday.com and HubSpot.
Ways to connect HubSpot and ClickUp
ClickUp builds the main one. It works from both sides: HubSpot workflows and ClickUp Automations.
ClickUp's HubSpot integration, from HubSpot workflows
- How it works
- Once the integration is on, ClickUp shows up as an action in HubSpot's deal-based workflows. When a deal hits the trigger you set, like a stage change, the workflow can create a ClickUp Space, Folder, List or task, or a task from a template. You can drop deal details like the deal name and amount into the task name and description.
- Good for
- Firms that want a new project made the moment a deal is won, with the same template each time.
- Where it breaks
- ClickUp's guide says Custom Field mapping is not supported for HubSpot workflows, so scope, dates and client fields don't land in their own fields. HubSpot's own guide lists workflows only on Professional and Enterprise plans.
ClickUp's HubSpot integration, from ClickUp Automations
- How it works
- In ClickUp, you build an Automation on a List, Folder or Space. A ClickUp trigger, like a status change, time tracked or all subtasks resolved, can create or update a HubSpot deal, contact, company, ticket or task. A HubSpot change, like a deal stage change, can update the linked ClickUp task.
- Good for
- Teams that want the deal or ticket in HubSpot to move when the work in ClickUp moves.
- Where it breaks
- Each update is a rule someone builds and keeps. HubSpot fields map only to the matching kind of ClickUp Custom Field, and items made by one HubSpot Automation won't set off another. ClickUp's own feedback board has a HubSpot integration 2.0 request with 200 votes, now marked not on the roadmap.
A Zapier zap
- How it works
- Zapier connects ClickUp's triggers, like New Task and Task Changes, with HubSpot's triggers and actions for contacts, deals, companies and tickets. You can also update a ClickUp Custom Field value from a HubSpot change.
- Good for
- Filling the fields ClickUp's own integration can't, or a step it doesn't have.
- Where it breaks
- Each case is a zap you build and watch. Finding the right task for each deal, and keeping both sides up to date, is a step you set up and test yourself.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents read the won deal in HubSpot, set up the client's project in ClickUp from your template with the scope, owners and dates, and keep the deal and the project telling the same story. They read replies, check off what's done and chase what's late.
- Good for
- Firms that sell in HubSpot, deliver in ClickUp, and lose time copying between them.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a scope that doesn't match what was sold, goes to the owner in one message.
How to set up the HubSpot ClickUp integration
These follow ClickUp's own guide. Open it for the screens.
- 1
Check your plans and accessClickUp's integration needs the Unlimited plan or above, and only a Workspace owner or admin can set it up. To make ClickUp tasks from HubSpot workflows, your HubSpot plan needs workflows, which HubSpot lists on Professional and Enterprise.
- 2
Connect HubSpot in the App CenterIn ClickUp, open the App Center, search for HubSpot and click Manage. At the bottom, click Add to HubSpot, then select the HubSpot account to connect.
- 3
Build a deal workflow in HubSpotIn HubSpot, go to Workflows, click Create workflow and select Deal-based. Set the trigger, like a deal moving to Closed won. Click the + icon, scroll the action list to ClickUp and select Create a task or a template.
- 4
Set where the task goes and what it saysSet the Workspace, Space, Folder and List. Use Deal token to add the deal name, type and amount to the task name and description. Then click Review and publish, and Turn on.
- 5
Add Automations for the way backIn ClickUp, open a Space, Folder or List, click Automate, then + Add Automation, then HubSpot. For example, when a task's status changes, update the linked deal. Make the matching ClickUp Custom Fields first if the Automation needs them.
Where the HubSpot ClickUp integration stops
The integration makes the task. Making sure the work matches the deal, and stays matched, is still someone's job.
The details don't come across on their own. ClickUp's guide says Custom Field mapping is not supported for HubSpot workflows. The deal name and amount can go in the task name and description, but scope, start date and client fields don't fill in. Someone opens the deal and types them.
Tasks are made, then left alone. On ClickUp's feedback board, the HubSpot integration 2.0 request has 200 votes, and the most common ask is for tasks to update when the deal changes, not only when they are made. ClickUp marked it not on the roadmap in February 2026. Updates are possible through ClickUp Automations, much like the Asana and HubSpot setup, but each one is a rule someone builds, and HubSpot fields only map to the same kind of ClickUp field.
Rules don't chain. ClickUp says items made by one HubSpot Automation won't set off another, so a setup that works in a test can quietly skip a step.
And reviews are mixed. ClickUp's app on the HubSpot Marketplace is rated 2.2 out of 5 from 72 ratings, and 42 percent of them are one star. Most of the gap is the work above: checking that the project has what was sold, chasing the late tasks, and telling sales when the client is ready.
The agents that do it

Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own HubSpot and ClickUp and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does ClickUp integrate with HubSpot?
Yes. ClickUp builds a HubSpot integration. HubSpot workflows can create ClickUp tasks, Lists and Spaces from deals, and ClickUp Automations can create or update HubSpot deals, contacts, companies and tickets. It needs ClickUp's Unlimited plan or above, and HubSpot workflows need a Professional or Enterprise plan.
Why aren't my HubSpot fields showing up in ClickUp?
ClickUp's guide says Custom Field mapping is not supported for HubSpot workflows. In ClickUp Automations, HubSpot fields map only to the same kind of ClickUp Custom Field, like email to an Email field, and you have to create that field first.
Can I link a ClickUp task to a HubSpot deal?
Yes, through an Automation. When the Automation creates the task or the HubSpot item, ClickUp links the two and shows the HubSpot link in the task's Relationships section. ClickUp says pasting a HubSpot link in a comment lists it there but doesn't link them.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
