The Pipedrive and Mailchimp integration is Pipedrive's Mailchimp sync app. You connect your Mailchimp account, then set up flows that add Pipedrive contacts to a Mailchimp audience, or bring Mailchimp contacts into Pipedrive. Where it stops: each flow only goes one way, some flows only add new people a few times a day, a changed email address breaks the link, and Pipedrive says opens, clicks and unsubscribes don't come back. Nobody tells the sales rep which contact just clicked. AI agents do that work.
What a Pipedrive and Mailchimp integration has to do
Pipedrive holds your deals and the people behind them. Mailchimp sends the newsletters and the follow-up emails. If the two don't agree, a customer who just signed still gets the sales emails, or a lead who clicked three emails sits in Pipedrive with nobody calling.
So connected has to mean two things. The right people have to land on the right Mailchimp list as soon as their deal moves. And what they do with your emails has to reach the rep who owns the deal. Pipedrive's app does the first one well. The second one is where most of the work is left.
Three ways to set up the Mailchimp Pipedrive integration
The first two are Pipedrive's own. Pipedrive now points people to the first.
Pipedrive's Mailchimp sync
- How it works
- An app by Pipedrive in its Marketplace. You build flows. Each flow has one trigger: a Pipedrive filter, a deal reaching a pipeline stage, a Mailchimp segment or tag, or a new Mailchimp contact. You map the fields, can add a Mailchimp tag to start a Mailchimp automation, and turn the flow on.
- Good for
- Teams that want people added to a Mailchimp list when their deal moves, or new email sign-ups brought into Pipedrive.
- Where it breaks
- Pipedrive says each flow syncs one way only, and filter and segment flows add new people a few times a day. Some field types, like single option, organization and person fields, can't be mapped. The listing says sync logs and campaign results are not there yet. It has 3.5 stars from 22 reviews, and 21 percent are one star.
Pipedrive's older Mailchimp integration
- How it works
- You make a syncbot that sends the people in a Pipedrive filter to one Mailchimp audience, and map a few fields like email, name and birthday. You can also export a filter to Mailchimp by hand from the three dots menu.
- Good for
- A team that only needs a list sent one way, or a one-time export before a campaign.
- Where it breaks
- Pipedrive says it works one way only, from Pipedrive to Mailchimp. Anyone not already in Mailchimp is added as Subscribed, so you have to be sure each person agreed to get your emails.
A Zapier zap
- How it works
- Zapier can start when a new person or deal is made in Pipedrive and add or update a subscriber in Mailchimp, or add them to a tag. It also works the other way: when someone joins a segment or tag in Mailchimp, it can create a deal in Pipedrive.
- Good for
- A team that wants one step the app doesn't do, like a new Pipedrive deal for each person who joins a Mailchimp tag.
- Where it breaks
- It only does the steps you build, and if one fails, nothing tells your team. Zapier says it checks for new data every 15 minutes on its Free plan for triggers that are not instant.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents read each Mailchimp campaign's opens, clicks and unsubscribes, find the person and deal in Pipedrive, log what they did as an activity, and tell the rep who owns the deal the same day. They find deals with no next step daily and answer new leads the same day.
- Good for
- Sales teams that send email every week and want the reps to act on who is reading.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a reply to a lead who asks for a price, goes to the deal owner in one message.
How to connect Pipedrive and Mailchimp
These follow Pipedrive's own guide. Open it for the screens. You need a Mailchimp account with at least one audience.
- 1
Install Mailchimp syncIn Pipedrive, go to Tools and apps, then Integrations, then Mailchimp sync, and click Get started. Review the access it asks for and click Allow and install.
- 2
Connect your Mailchimp accountOn the Mailchimp sync page, click Connect Mailchimp, log in to Mailchimp in the pop-up window, and click Allow.
- 3
Make a Pipedrive to Mailchimp flowClick + Flow and set the trigger to Pipedrive filters or Pipedrive pipeline stage. Set the Mailchimp audience, confirm new contacts are added as subscribed, map the fields, and add a tag if you want a Mailchimp automation to start. Click Save and turn on the Active toggle.
- 4
Add a Mailchimp to Pipedrive flow, if you need oneClick + Flow again and set the trigger to Mailchimp segments or tags, or New Mailchimp contact. Pipedrive says New Mailchimp contact only brings in people added after you turn it on.
- 5
Only send people who agreedNew people go into Mailchimp as Subscribed. Pipedrive says to make sure each one agreed to get emails from you, so build your filter with that in mind.
- 6
Check one person on both sides
Move a test deal into the stage you set, then look for that person in your Mailchimp audience with the right fields and tag.
What the Mailchimp Pipedrive integration doesn't do
The app puts people on the right list. Knowing what they did with your emails, and getting a rep to act on it, is still a person's job.
Email results don't come back. Pipedrive's own listing says campaign opens, clicks and unsubscribes are not part of it yet. A rep can't see in Pipedrive that a lead clicked the pricing email this morning, so someone checks the Mailchimp report and copies it over.
You can't see what synced. The listing also says sync status and detailed sync logs are not there yet. When a person is missing from a list, it is hard to tell why.
Small changes break the link. Pipedrive's guide says that if a contact's email address changes in either app, they are synced as a new contact, and the old one gets no more updates. Deleting a person in Pipedrive doesn't remove them from Mailchimp. Moving a deal back out of a stage doesn't change anything in Mailchimp either.
Some flows are slow, and some send only once. Filter and segment flows bring in new people a few times a day, not as they happen. A pipeline stage flow sends the person once, and Pipedrive says later changes to that contact aren't synced. Fields like single option and organization can't be mapped at all.
And none of it does the follow-up: the call to the lead who clicked, the note on the deal, and the reminder when a rep lets a warm deal sit.
The agents that do it
Each agent does one job from start to finish, in your own Pipedrive and Mailchimp. Your team talks to them in Slack or Teams.

Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own Pipedrive and Mailchimp and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does Pipedrive integrate with Mailchimp?
Yes. Pipedrive's Mailchimp sync app adds Pipedrive contacts to a Mailchimp audience and can bring Mailchimp contacts into Pipedrive, using flows that each go one way.
Is the Pipedrive Mailchimp sync two-way?
You can set it up both ways, but each flow goes in one direction only. You build one flow from Pipedrive to Mailchimp and another from Mailchimp to Pipedrive.
Can I see Mailchimp opens and clicks in Pipedrive?
Not with Pipedrive's app. Its Marketplace listing says campaign opens, clicks and unsubscribes are not part of it yet. Pipedrive's older guide names Outfunnel as one other app that syncs the two.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
