There is no built-in Airtable SharePoint integration. Airtable's own sync doesn't list SharePoint as a source, so teams connect the two with Zapier or Make, which can turn new SharePoint list items or files into Airtable records and send Airtable records to a SharePoint list. Power Automate is the Microsoft route, but its Airtable connector is marked deprecated. Where it stops: each zap or scenario moves one kind of change one way, file links may not open for people outside SharePoint, and nothing checks that each client's record has the right files. AI agents do that check.
What an Airtable SharePoint integration has to do
At accounting firms and other firms that run on client files, the list of clients and jobs often lives in one place and the documents in another.
The base in Airtable tracks each client, job and deadline.
The engagement letters, statements and signed forms sit in SharePoint, where Microsoft 365 keeps them. People copy file links into Airtable by hand and check folders to see what's missing.
So connected has to mean each Airtable record points to the right SharePoint folder and files, a new file shows up on the record without anyone pasting a link, and someone hears when a client's folder is missing what the record says it needs.
Ways to connect Airtable and SharePoint
Neither program builds a connection to the other, so each of these is a set of steps you build.
A Zapier zap
- How it works
- Zapier's SharePoint triggers include New List Item, New or Updated List Item, New File in Folder and New or Updated File. They can create or update an Airtable record. Airtable's New or Updated Record trigger can create or update a SharePoint list item, make a folder or share a link.
- Good for
- Logging each new SharePoint file or list item on an Airtable record as it arrives.
- Where it breaks
- Each direction and each kind of change is a separate zap. Finding the right record to update is a step you build, and a zap that stops doesn't tell the person who reads the base.
A Make scenario
- How it works
- Make lists Airtable and Microsoft SharePoint Online modules. Airtable's Watch records can start a scenario that creates or updates a SharePoint list item or uploads a file. Airtable community answers describe Make scenarios that pull a SharePoint folder's file names and links into Airtable on a schedule.
- Good for
- Copying a folder's file names and links into Airtable on a schedule, without the files themselves.
- Where it breaks
- Make's Watch records needs a Created Time or Last Modified Time field in the table. Community answers warn that if SharePoint permissions are locked down, the links may not open for people outside SharePoint.
Power Automate
- How it works
- Microsoft's Power Automate works with SharePoint lists out of the box. Airtable's community has a write-up on syncing a SharePoint list to Airtable this way.
- Good for
- Companies already building flows in Microsoft 365.
- Where it breaks
- Microsoft lists its Airtable connector as deprecated, made by an independent publisher, and Premium in Power Automate. That leaves custom calls to Airtable that someone has to build and look after.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents read new and changed records in Airtable and new files in SharePoint, put the folder and file links on the right record, and check each client's folder against what the record says it needs. They build client documents from your template and chase what's missing.
- Good for
- Firms that track clients in Airtable and keep their files in SharePoint, and check folders by hand.
- Where it breaks
- Anything your rules keep for a person, like a client file that doesn't match the record, goes to the owner in one message.
How to set up an Airtable SharePoint integration
These use Zapier and Make, since neither program has its own connection. Open each page for the screens.
- 1
Set up the Airtable table firstAdd a URL field for the SharePoint folder or file link, and a Last Modified Time field so tools can see what changed. Airtable's guide notes that renaming a field in one table doesn't rename it in tables synced from it.
- 2
Log new SharePoint files on Airtable records
In Zapier, start with SharePoint's New File in Folder or New or Updated List Item. Add Airtable's Find Record to locate the client, then Update Record to add the link.
- 3
Send Airtable records to a SharePoint listIn Make, start a scenario with Airtable's Watch records, then add SharePoint's Create an Item for each new client.
- 4
Test the links as someone outside the team
Open a few of the SharePoint links from Airtable while signed in as someone outside the folder's members. If they don't open, set sharing in SharePoint before anyone relies on them.
What still has to be done by hand
Zaps and scenarios move one kind of change, one way. Knowing whether each client's record and folder agree is the work in the middle.
Airtable's own sync doesn't reach SharePoint. Airtable's sync guide names the sources it connects to, and SharePoint isn't one of them. Even where Airtable does sync, it runs one way by default, caps each source at 10,000 records, and says automatic syncs stop on bases with no recent activity.
The Microsoft route is thin. Microsoft lists its Airtable connector for Power Automate as deprecated and Premium. An Airtable community write-up on syncing a SharePoint list through Power Automate dates from 2024, and a 2026 reply asking what the author learned since has no answer.
Links aren't files. A May 2026 Airtable community thread on putting SharePoint file names and links into Airtable says it can be done with Make, but warns the links may not work outside SharePoint if permissions are locked down. A link on a record also doesn't say whether the file inside is the signed one.
And nothing checks the folder. A zap adds what arrives. It doesn't notice the statement that never came, the file saved in the wrong client's folder, or the record marked done with an empty folder behind it. Firms that connect Smartsheet to SharePoint run into the same gap.
The agents that do it
Each agent does one job from start to finish, in your own Airtable and SharePoint. Your team talks to them in Slack or Teams.
Days of building becomes a review.
- Reads the client fileper client
- Builds it from your templateper document
- Checks your wording word for wordevery time
Client papers come in before the deadline.
- Checks each client folder against your listevery week
- Sends the client a reminder for what's missingon your schedule
- Tells the client lead what's still outevery Friday
Your team stops chasing paperwork by hand.
- Finds clients still missing documentsevery day
- Emails the reminderon your schedule
- Updates the record when they arrivesame day
Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own Airtable and SharePoint and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does Airtable integrate with SharePoint?
Not directly. Airtable's sync guide doesn't list SharePoint as a source, and Microsoft's Airtable connector for Power Automate is marked deprecated. Teams connect them through Zapier or Make, which both list Airtable and SharePoint steps.
Can I sync a SharePoint list to Airtable?
Yes, with Zapier or Make. A SharePoint trigger like New or Updated List Item can create or update an Airtable record. Each direction is a separate zap or scenario, so changes made in Airtable need their own steps to reach SharePoint. Teams that connect Airtable to Google Sheets set it up the same way.
Can Airtable store the files themselves from SharePoint?
It can hold files in attachment fields, but copying them out of SharePoint means two copies that drift apart. Most teams keep the file in SharePoint and put the link on the record. Building each client's documents from a template in SharePoint is a job agents do from start to finish.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
