You make the key in your own Excel account. Nothing to install on your computers, and nothing to wait for.

In the Microsoft Entra admin center. Your Microsoft 365 admin registers an app for your company, gives it access to the Excel files it needs in OneDrive or SharePoint, and approves it.
Who can do it
A Microsoft 365 admin.
Plan
A Microsoft 365 business plan. Files must be .xlsx and saved in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint. Personal OneDrive doesn't work.
