Each form on your site, posted to the right Slack channel

Slack
The short answer

The main Gravity Forms Slack integration is the Slack Add-On from Gravity Forms. In WordPress, go to Forms, then Settings, then Slack, click Connect to Slack, then add a Slack feed to each form. Each new entry then posts a message to the channel or person you set. Where it stops: the add-on comes with the Pro, Elite and Nonprofit licenses, each feed posts to one place, the app must be invited to a private channel first, and only image uploads come across. It sends the message and that's all. Nobody owns the entry or replies to it. AI agents do that work.

What a Gravity Forms Slack integration has to do

Your website forms bring in quotes, bookings, job applications and support requests. If they only go to an inbox, they wait. Posting them to Slack puts each one in front of the team the moment it comes in.

So connected has to mean more than a message. Each entry goes to the right channel with the details the team needs, and someone takes it and answers the person who filled it in. The add-on does the first part well. The rest is where teams lose leads.

Three ways to connect Gravity Forms with Slack

Most sites need the first one. Zapier helps when a form needs more than one step.

The Gravity Forms Slack Add-On

How it works
You install the add-on, connect it to your Slack workspace, and add a Slack feed to each form. The feed sends a message to a public channel, a private channel or one person, with form answers filled in by merge tags. You can attach uploaded images and use conditional logic to send only some entries.
Good for
Sites that want each new form entry posted to a sales, support or hiring channel right away.
Where it breaks
Gravity Forms lists it with the Pro, Elite and Nonprofit licenses. Each feed sends to one place, so a second channel needs a second feed. Only image files attach. Before it can post to a private channel, the Gravity Forms app has to be invited to it.

A Zapier zap

How it works
Zapier starts a zap when someone submits the Gravity Forms form you set. It can then post a channel message, send a direct message, create a channel, or add a reminder in Slack, and do more steps in other apps.
Good for
A team that wants the entry in Slack and also in a CRM or a spreadsheet, in one zap.
Where it breaks
You need a Zapier account. Each step is one you build and keep up, and a step that fails leaves the entry out of Slack with no one told.

Slack Workflow Builder forms

How it works
Slack can make its own form from the Feedback report template under Agents & tools, then Workflows. Each response posts a message to a channel, and can be added to a Google Sheet.
Good for
Requests from your own team, like IT or time off, where everyone is already in Slack.
Where it breaks
The form lives in Slack and is shared by a workflow link. It is not a form on your website, so it doesn't replace Gravity Forms for customers.

Arkeo agents

How it works
Agents read each entry posted to your Slack channel, turn it into a task with an owner, follow up each day until it's done, and for a new sale, write the kickoff plan and chase anything past its date.
Good for
Teams where form entries land in a busy channel and some never get an answer.
Where it breaks
Anything your rules keep for a person, like a quote price or a reply to an upset customer, goes to the owner in one message.

How to set up the Gravity Forms Slack Add-On

These follow Gravity Forms' own guides. Open them for the screens.

  4. 4

Create a Slack feed on the form

Open the form, hover over Settings and click Slack, then Add New. Name the feed, set Action to Send Message, set Send To and the Slack Channel, and write the message with merge tags for the answers.

  5. 5

    Set conditions, then test

If you only want some entries in Slack, like large quote requests, turn on Conditional Logic. If you leave it off, each entry is sent. Then fill in the form yourself and check the message in Slack.

Where the Gravity Forms Slack add-on stops

The add-on posts a message. Who takes the entry, and whether anyone writes back to the person who filled it in, is still up to your team.

It sends, and that's all. The feed's action is Send Message. Nothing comes back to Gravity Forms when someone in Slack takes the lead, so the entry never shows who has it or whether it was answered.

Private channels need an invite. Gravity Forms' guide says the app must be invited to a private channel before it can post there. In a 2024 thread in the Gravity Forms Community, people said that after updating the add-on, the list of private channels wouldn't open. Gravity Forms said the product team was working on a fix, and the answer was to invite the app to the channel.

Mentions may not work. In a January 2025 Community thread, a team's new-sale form posted to #general, but the @channel mention showed up as plain text instead of a real mention. The thread closed with no answer.

Files and places are limited. Only image files attach, so a résumé or a PDF stays in WordPress. Each feed posts to one place; a form that should reach sales and the owner needs two feeds.

And in a busy channel, a form entry scrolls away. Nobody checks at the end of the day which entries got no reply.

The agents that do it

Each agent does one job from start to finish, in your own Slack. Your team talks to them there.

Questions

Is my customers' information safe?

Yes. Agents work in your own Slack and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.

Does Gravity Forms integrate with Slack?

Yes. Gravity Forms makes a Slack Add-On that posts each form entry to a Slack channel, private channel or direct message. It comes with the Pro, Elite and Nonprofit licenses. You can also connect them with a Zapier zap.

Why can't Gravity Forms post to my private Slack channel?

The Gravity Forms app has to be invited first. Go to the private channel and type /invite @Gravity Forms, or right-click the app in Slack and add it to the channel.

Can I send one form to more than one Slack channel?

Yes, with more feeds. Each Slack feed sends to one channel, group or person, so add a feed for each place the entry should go.

What does it cost?

You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
