The main QuickSight Slack integration today is the Slack connector in Amazon Quick, the new home of QuickSight. In the Amazon Quick console, open Connectors, find Slack on the Available tab, click Connect and sign in to Slack. Your team can then send messages and single visuals from a dashboard to a Slack channel or person. Where it stops: a whole dashboard can't be sent to Slack, threshold alerts go by email, and alert actions don't list Slack. Nobody checks the number each morning or follows up with the person who has to act on it. AI agents do that work.
What a QuickSight Slack integration has to do
Your dashboards in QuickSight hold the numbers that run the week: sales, open tickets, stock, cash. Your team talks in Slack. If the numbers stay in the dashboard, only the people who log in see them, and most don't log in every day.
So connected has to mean two things. The number that matters lands in the channel where people work, on time, without someone taking a screenshot. And when a number goes wrong, a person sees it and does something about it. QuickSight is now called Amazon Quick Sight, and it sits inside Amazon Quick, so the Slack options live there now.
Three ways to connect QuickSight with Slack
Most teams start with the first one. The second was built for email, and reaches Slack only through a channel's email address.
The Amazon Quick Slack connector
- How it works
- An admin adds Slack under Connectors in the Amazon Quick console. You can sign in with the default app Amazon runs, your own Slack app, or a Slack bot token. Once it is set up, people in Quick can post messages, upload files and read channels by asking in plain words, and send a visual from a dashboard to a channel or person.
- Good for
- Teams already on Amazon Quick who want to share a chart or a short update in Slack without leaving Quick.
- Where it breaks
- A Quick community moderator said in March 2026 that sending a whole dashboard to Slack isn't possible yet and logged it as a feature request. Amazon's own tips say the connector doesn't include all of Slack's actions, so you may have to spell out the channel and message you want.
Email alerts and email reports
- How it works
- Quick Sight can email a dashboard as a report once or on a schedule, and email you when a KPI, gauge or table crosses a threshold you set. To land in Slack, the email has to go to a Slack channel's own email address.
- Good for
- A team that wants a daily or weekly report and a warning when one number goes too high or too low.
- Where it breaks
- Both need the Enterprise edition. Reports only go to people in your Quick subscription who can already see the dashboard. A channel email address needs a paid Slack plan. Alert actions can file into Jira, Outlook, Salesforce or ServiceNow, and Slack isn't on that list.
AWS Chatbot in Slack
- How it works
- An AWS blog post from 2024 shows AWS Chatbot added to a Slack channel. People type commands to list dashboards or look up details, and ask how-to questions about QuickSight.
- Good for
- Technical teams who manage QuickSight and want to check on it from Slack.
- Where it breaks
- It runs commands about your dashboards, not the numbers in them. Someone has to set up AWS permissions for the channel or for each person, and the commands are written for technical staff, not an owner or a sales lead.
Arkeo agents
- How it works
- Agents pull the numbers your team checks, post them to the right Slack channel every morning with what changed since last week, and turn a number that goes wrong into a task with an owner. They follow up until it's done.
- Good for
- Teams where a number in a dashboard should lead to a call, a reorder or a fix, and it often doesn't.
- Where it breaks
- Changes to the dashboards themselves stay with whoever builds them in QuickSight.
How to set up the Slack connector in Amazon Quick
These follow Amazon's own Slack integration guide. Open it for the screens.
- 1
Have your Slack workspace readyYou need a Slack workspace with the channels you want to post to. If you plan to use your own Slack app or a bot token, create the app on Slack's API site first, as Amazon's guide shows.
- 2
Connect Slack from the Available tabIn the Amazon Quick console, click Connectors. On the Available tab, find Slack and click Connect. This uses the default app Amazon runs, so there is nothing else to fill in.
- 3
Sign in to Slack and allow accessFinish the Slack sign-in, check the permissions it asks for, and click Allow. If you used the Create for your team tab instead, you also set who in your company can use the connector on the Publish page.
- 4
Send a test visual to Slack
Open a published dashboard, open the menu on one visual and look for the actions. Send that visual with a short message to a test channel, and check it arrives the way you expect.
- 5
Set an email alert for the number that mattersOn a KPI, gauge, table or pivot table visual, click the bell icon and set a threshold. Quick Sight emails you when the number crosses it. This needs the Enterprise edition.
Where the QuickSight Slack integration stops
The connector can put a chart in Slack when someone sends it. Getting the right number to the right channel every morning, and making sure someone acts on it, is still a person's job.
The whole dashboard doesn't come across. In a March 2026 thread in the Amazon Quick community, a team asked how to send a full dashboard to a Slack channel. The moderator said that isn't possible yet, said you can send messages and single visuals, and logged a feature request. The person who asked then built the Slack app, saw it in both places, and still could not find where to use it.
Alerts go by email. Amazon's guide says threshold alerts notify you by email. Alerts can also run an action, but the guide lists only Jira Cloud, Outlook, Salesforce and ServiceNow. Slack isn't one of them, so a warning about cash or stock lands in someone's inbox.
Reports only reach people with a seat. Amazon's guide says email reports go to users or groups in your Quick subscription who can already see the dashboard. A Slack channel's email address isn't one of them, and Slack only gives channels an email address on paid plans.
And a message is not an owner. A chart posted to a busy channel scrolls away. Nobody notes who saw that sales dropped, who is calling the supplier, or whether it got done by Friday.
The agents that do it
Each agent does one job from start to finish, and your team talks to it in Slack.
Start the day knowing the numbers.
- Pulls sales, refunds and paymentsevery morning
- Compares it to last weekevery morning
- Posts it to your leadership channelby 8 a.m.
Ask once in Slack. Someone owns it.
- Takes requests posted in your Slack channelas they come
- Turns each one into a task with an ownerright away
- Follows up until it's doneevery day
Questions
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Agents work in your own Slack and your own reports, and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.
Does QuickSight integrate with Slack?
Yes. Amazon Quick, the new home of QuickSight, has a Slack connector. An admin adds it under Connectors, and your team can then send messages and single visuals from a dashboard to a Slack channel or person.
Can I send a QuickSight dashboard to a Slack channel?
Not the whole dashboard. A Quick community moderator said in March 2026 that a full dashboard send isn't possible yet and logged it as a feature request. You can send single visuals with the Slack connector, or email a report on a schedule.
Can QuickSight alerts go to Slack?
Not directly. Amazon's guide says threshold alerts notify you by email. An alert can also run an action, but only in Jira Cloud, Outlook, Salesforce or ServiceNow, not Slack.
What does it cost?
You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
