Your sheet and Zoho CRM telling the same story

Google SheetsZoho CRM
The short answer

You can set up a Google Sheets Zoho CRM integration three ways: with Zoho Flow, Zoho's own automation app, which can add or update a Zoho CRM record for each new sheet row; with Zapier, which does the same in both directions; or with an app from the Zoho Marketplace, like G Connector or Google Sheets AppiWorks, that pulls CRM records into a sheet and sends edits back. One Marketplace app for this, Google Sheets to Zoho CRM Integration, is now marked deprecated. Where they stop: rows turn into duplicate leads unless you add a search step, edits to rows already in the sheet are missed, and nobody checks the sheet and the CRM still agree. AI agents check first, update the right record and flag the rest.

What a Google Sheets Zoho CRM integration has to do

Many teams on Zoho CRM still keep a Google sheet next to it: leads from a trade show, a form that writes to Sheets, a list of renewals, or the weekly sales numbers the owner reads. Without a Google Sheets Zoho CRM integration, someone copies rows into Zoho CRM, then copies deals back into the sheet.

A good connection does both without making a mess. A row for someone already in the CRM updates their record instead of adding a second lead. And the numbers in the sheet match the CRM on the day you read them.

Three ways to connect Google Sheets to Zoho CRM

One is Zoho's own automation app, one is Zapier, and one is an app from the Zoho Marketplace.

Zoho Flow

How it works
Zoho's automation app connects the two. Google Sheets triggers are Row added and Worksheet created, and actions include Create row, Update row and Fetch row. Zoho CRM actions include Create or update lead, Create or update module entry and Add tags, and triggers include New lead and Updated deal.
Good for
Zoho CRM teams who want the flow to sit with their other Zoho apps, like a lead for each new row from a form.
Where it breaks
The only sheet triggers are a new row and a new worksheet. An edit to a row that is already there doesn't start the flow, so changes made in the sheet don't reach the CRM.

Zapier

How it works
Zapier connects both ways. Zoho CRM triggers include New Lead, New or Updated Contact and New/Updated Module Entry. Actions include Create Module Entry, Update Module Entry, Create/Update Module Entry and Find Module Entry. On the sheet side you get new or updated row triggers and row actions.
Good for
Teams who already use Zapier, or who need a sheet row updated when a Zoho CRM record changes.
Where it breaks
Zapier's help says new rows only trigger at the bottom of the sheet, and sorting, deleting rows or renaming columns can make the zap miss rows or run again. Zapier's own guide warns that pushing each response in as a new lead makes duplicates.

A Zoho Marketplace app

How it works
G Connector, by Xappex, pulls Zoho CRM data into Google Sheets so you can edit it and push the changes back, by hand or on a schedule. Google Sheets AppiWorks, by Jivrus, exports CRM records to Sheets and imports sheet rows into the CRM.
Good for
Teams who want to clean up many records in a sheet, or build a report from CRM data.
Where it breaks
Only admins can install either one. G Connector's page says it needs the Enterprise edition or above, and neither app shows any reviews. A third app, Google Sheets to Zoho CRM Integration, is marked deprecated and unavailable.

Arkeo agents

How it works
Agents read new rows, search Zoho CRM for the person first, update the lead or contact or add a new one, follow up with new leads, and write the weekly numbers back to the sheet. They flag rows that don't match.
Good for
Sales teams where leads land in sheets and the owner reports from a sheet.
Where it breaks
Anything your rules keep for a person, like merging two records or a row with no clear owner, goes to the lead's owner in one message.

How to connect Google Sheets to Zoho CRM

These follow Zoho's and Zapier's own pages. Open them for the screens.

  1. 1

    Set up the sheet

Give the sheet one header row, a column for each Zoho CRM field you need, and an email column so each row can be matched to a record. New rows always go at the bottom.

  2. 2

In Zoho Flow, use Row added and Create or update lead

Make a flow with the Google Sheets trigger Row added and the Zoho CRM action Create or update lead, so a row for someone already in the CRM updates them instead of adding a new lead.

  3. 3

Or use Zapier with a find step

Start with a new or updated row trigger. Add Find Module Entry to look for the person by email, then Create/Update Module Entry.

  4. 4

For reports and bulk edits, add a Marketplace app

A Zoho CRM admin installs G Connector or Google Sheets AppiWorks from the Zoho Marketplace. Check the edition it needs before you install.

  5. 5

    Check your daily API credits

Each flow, zap or app uses Zoho CRM API credits. Zoho gives each edition a daily amount, based on the edition and the number of users, so a big sheet can use up a small edition's share.

Where the Google Sheets and Zoho CRM connection stops

Each app moves rows one way, on its own terms. The work left is keeping two copies of your leads from drifting apart.

Rows turn into duplicate leads. Zapier's own guide on Zoho CRM says most people push each response in as a new lead, and that this makes a duplicate when the person is already a contact. It tells you to search contacts, then leads, before making anything. Each flow or zap needs that step built and kept up.

Edits in the sheet are missed. Zoho Flow's only sheet triggers are a new row and a new worksheet, so a change to a row already in the sheet never reaches the CRM. Zapier's help says new rows only trigger at the bottom, and that sorting, deleting rows or renaming a column can make the zap lose track or run again on old rows.

Apps come and go. In the Zoho Marketplace, the Google Sheets to Zoho CRM Integration app is now marked deprecated and unavailable for use. The two Sheets apps still listed show no reviews, and one needs the Enterprise edition or above.

Limits run out. Zoho's API page says the Free edition gets 5,000 API credits a day and the Standard edition is capped at 100,000. A sheet with thousands of rows can use a day's share.

And no one checks. The sheet and the CRM can say different things for weeks before someone notices.

Questions

Is my customers' information safe?

Yes. Agents work in your own Zoho CRM and Google Sheets and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.

Does Zoho CRM have a Google Sheets integration?

Yes, through other apps. Zoho's own automation app, Zoho Flow, connects the two, and the Zoho Marketplace lists apps like G Connector and Google Sheets AppiWorks. Zapier works too.

How do I stop duplicate leads from my sheet?

Use a create or update step that searches by email first. In Zoho Flow that is Create or update lead. In Zapier, add Find Module Entry before Create/Update Module Entry.

Can I edit Zoho CRM records in a Google sheet?

Yes, with a Marketplace app. G Connector pulls records into a sheet and pushes your edits back, by hand or on a schedule. Its Marketplace page says it needs the Enterprise edition or above.

What does it cost?

You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
