BigCommerce orders and stock in Google Sheets, checked each day

BigCommerceGoogle Sheets
The short answer

BigCommerce has no built-in Google Sheets integration. You can export orders and products as a CSV and import it into Sheets, use Zapier to add a row for each new order, or add an app from the BigCommerce App Marketplace that sends store data to Sheets on a schedule. Where they stop: an export is out of date the next day, Zapier's BigCommerce trigger also sends orders that were never finished, and in a long Zapier forum thread, owners said the Order Created trigger quit firing on its own. AI agents fill in the sheet each day and flag what doesn't match.

What a BigCommerce Google Sheets integration has to do

BigCommerce has its own reports, but most teams still want orders and stock in a Google Sheet: to plan buying, to split sales by channel, to share with someone who has no store login, or to build the weekly numbers. With no link, someone exports a file each week and pastes it into the sheet.

So a good connection does three things. It adds each paid order to the sheet, with one row per item when you need it. It keeps stock and prices in the sheet the same as the store. And when your team changes a price or a stock count in the sheet, it only reaches the store if you set it up to.

Three ways to connect BigCommerce to Google Sheets

One is built into BigCommerce. One is a zap. One is an app from the marketplace.

Export a CSV and import it into Sheets

How it works
In BigCommerce, go to Orders, then Export Orders, or search by date and click Export all. Use the Default template or your own, and download a CSV. In Sheets, use File, then Import, and replace or add to the sheet. Products export the same way.
Good for
A monthly or weekly report, with nothing to set up.
Where it breaks
It is out of date the day after. Someone has to do it each time. BigCommerce says orders with more than one shipment come out as one row per shipment, and some fields, like Transaction ID, only show in a custom template.

A Zapier zap

How it works
Zapier's BigCommerce triggers include Order Created, Order Updated and Order Status Updated. Its templates add each new order to Google Sheets as one row, or as one row per item with Create Multiple Spreadsheet Rows.
Good for
A list of orders in a sheet that grows as they come in.
Where it breaks
Zapier's help says BigCommerce sends all orders, even incomplete ones, and that custom fields aren't supported. Zapier's BigCommerce actions can make products and customers but not change stock or orders, so edits in the sheet don't go back.

An app from the BigCommerce App Marketplace

How it works
Apps like Store Sync and SyncRange are listed in the BigCommerce App Marketplace. SyncRange sends orders, line items, customers and products to Sheets on a schedule. Store Sync lets you edit products in Sheets and send the changes back, and downloads orders daily, weekly or monthly.
Good for
Stores that want products in a sheet both ways, or a scheduled export with no zaps.
Where it breaks
They are paid apps. When we read them, SyncRange had no reviews and Store Sync had one. A daily download still isn't the order that came in an hour ago.

Arkeo agents

How it works
Agents read each day's orders, refunds and stock in BigCommerce, fill in your Google Sheet the way you lay it out, check the totals against the store, and tell your team about orders not shipped and stock getting low.
Good for
Stores that plan buying, shipping or the weekly numbers out of a Google Sheet.
Where it breaks
Anything your rules keep for a person, like a price change or a large refund, goes to your team in one message before it reaches the store.

How to send BigCommerce orders to Google Sheets

These follow BigCommerce's, Google's and Zapier's own pages. Open them for the screens.

  1. 1

    Make an order export template

In BigCommerce, go to Settings, then Export templates, and copy the Default template. Turn on Enable Orders Exporting, and add fields like Billing Name, Order Time and Transaction ID that aren't on by default.

  2. 2

    Export the orders you need

Go to Orders, then Search, set the dates under Search by Date, and click Export all. Select your template, then Start export and Download my Orders file.

  3. 3

Import the file into your sheet

In Google Sheets, click File, then Import, and upload the CSV. Use Replace current sheet for a fresh copy, or Append rows to current sheet to add to it.

  4. 4

Or add each new order with a zap

In Zapier, use BigCommerce's Order Created trigger and Google Sheets' Create Multiple Spreadsheet Rows for one row per item. Select the spreadsheet and worksheet.

Zapier's BigCommerce to Sheets template →

  5. 5

    Filter out incomplete orders

Add a filter step so only finished orders reach the sheet. Then place a test order and check the zap fires without you clicking test.

Where the BigCommerce Google Sheets integration stops

Each way gets orders into a sheet. Keeping that sheet right is still someone's job.

A zap can stop and not say so. In a thread on Zapier's forum that ran from August 2023 to October 2024, about ten store owners said their BigCommerce Order Created zap worked when they tested it but didn't fire on its own. Zapier staff called it a known bug and said they were working with BigCommerce. One owner said BigCommerce told them it was Zapier's side. The thread closed with no fix. Owners got by sending order emails through Gmail or Zapier's Email Parser instead.

The sheet fills with the wrong orders. Zapier's help says BigCommerce sends all orders, including incomplete ones from shoppers who never paid, unless you add a filter. Custom fields don't come across at all.

Exports need cleaning. BigCommerce's guide says orders with more than one shipment come out as one row per shipment, and some B2B Edition details aren't in the export.

And the sheet doesn't go back. A stock count fixed in the sheet stays in the sheet, because Zapier can't change stock or orders in BigCommerce. Someone types it into the store by hand, or the two drift apart.

The agents that do it

Each agent does one job from start to finish in your own BigCommerce store and Google Sheets. Your team gets what needs a person.

Questions

Is my customers' information safe?

Yes. Agents work in your own BigCommerce store and Google Sheets and see only what their job needs. Customer details never go into public AI. Agents connect to AI through business-grade connections audited under SOC 2.

Can I export BigCommerce orders to Google Sheets?

Yes. Export orders as a CSV from Orders, then Export Orders in BigCommerce, then use File, then Import in Google Sheets. For new orders as they come in, use Zapier or an app from the BigCommerce App Marketplace.

Can I update BigCommerce stock from Google Sheets?

Not with Zapier, whose BigCommerce actions don't change stock. Store Sync, an app in the BigCommerce App Marketplace, lets you edit products in Sheets, including stock, and send the changes back.

Why are unpaid orders in my sheet?

Zapier's help says BigCommerce sends all orders to Zapier, including incomplete ones. Add a filter step so only finished orders are added.

What does it cost?

You get the price on the call, along with the hours it saves your team.
